If there is anything that all Southern Californians can agree on, it's our love for coffee and surfing. Catching the morning waves followed by a visit to a local coffee shop to fuel the start of your day is the epitome of the carefree SoCal lifestyle. Alongside the launch of our new Coffee Run collection, here is a guide to our favorite spots to get a cup of Joe after catching some waves; because wherever the surf is great there's a great coffee shop nearby.
First Point Malibu x Caffe Luxxe
Ahhh Malibu.. arguably the most coveted surf spot for all Angelenos - when you start your day catching the waves at First Point it’s hard to believe that your day could really get much better *Cue Caffe Luxxe * With the other cult favorites in Malibu (looking at you Blue Bottle) which we adore as well, Caffe Luxxe doesn’t always get the hype it deserves. However, if you've been, then it’s likely your favorite coffee shop in all of SoCal. We’ve been known to venture across LA just for their iced vanilla oat milk latte. Not only is the coffee great but the location makes for a smooth morning with it’s easy get in and get out location right off PCH. Indoor seating is offered as well as outdoor seating with a grass lawn for your puppy to play. This coffee shop is all you need to continue the serotonin boost you’re riding from your surf session.

Venice Breakwater x Little Lunch
The only people who might do both surfing and coffee better than Southern Californians would have to be our friends from down under. ‘Little Lunch’ the newest Aussie coffee shop in Venice, is a testament to this and a must after you surf breakwater. We love this spot because not only are the drinks incredible and range from a simple latte to special adaptogen drinks but they also have the best “healthy” treats. Little Lunch happens to carry my favorite bakery ‘Nowhere Bakery’ and you just have to get one of these (gf, vegan, refined sugar free) chocolate chip cookies alongside your coffee order. As for your drink - after a nice surf session, we suggest trying the coco cold brew; a special infusion of their house cold brew, harmless harvest coconut water, and macadamia milk. The cold brew will give you the energy you need to seize the day while the coconut water rehydrates you after your morning in the ocean.

Blackies Newport x Daydream
So you like the laid back vibes of Newport and Blackies is your go to surf spot; then your go to coffee shop should most definitely be Daydream. Daydream is a coffee shop fit for the die hard surfer. It’s a one stop shop as it is both a cafe and mini surf shop! When you visit Daydream after your surf session you can order your favorite cup - whatever that may be they will do it and do it well - & while waiting you can browse the newest surf boards, wetsuits, fins etc. If Daydream isn’t a surfer's dream spot, then I’m not sure what is.
