POP-UP Store Manager – El Segundo, CA

johnnie-O is looking for a retail maven to manage our pop-up slated to open in October 2017 at The Point in El Segundo. This will be a unique opportunity for us to spread the word about johnnie-O and connect directly with the community. While selling products and maintaining the store are both very important, we want someone who is personable, entrepreneurial, and 110% committed to the success of our pop-up and the brand.

Responsibilities:

Leadership — We want someone who is passionate about keeping the team happy, engaged and challenged. Someone who is excited to get into work each day and help grow johnnie-O through their passion and leadership.  There's a difference between managing a team and leading a team.

Customer Experience — Our customers are the most important part of our brand and our success. We need a store manager who instills the importance of developing customer relationships, who bends over backward to make a great experience, and who will assist with meeting needs. We want each person who visits the store to feel the fun, easy going vibe of our brand and excited to have a piece of it.

People Development — We pride ourselves in developing our people. Inspire the team to achieve maximum performance levels through coaching, feedback and teamwork. Develop a high energy environment that supports the achievement of store goals and initiatives. Create strategies that drive positive results in KPIs, including sales, conversions and loss prevention, as well as retention.

Merchandising — Our store and product need to look good – all the time. It's important for you to have a keen eye for merchandising and visual standards - clean, organized, stylish, fresh, and the clothes look great on the shelves and the mannequins. When customers come in, we want the store to be the perfect place to see, touch and feel the johnnie-O lifestyle and enjoy a relaxed experience with great customer service.

Operations —We need someone who can run the daily operations of the pop-up, and do it with detail and efficiently. Whether it be inventory, scheduling - including opening and closing, responsibility for deposits, payroll, or bigger picture initiatives, you get it done with pride and love it.

Marketing - We need a manager who can spread the word and keep customers coming back. Think out of the box via outreach, collaborations, and events. Want to host a local charity event? World Series Party? Do a personal shopping night? Challenge your team to come up with ideas.  We’re here to help you make it happen. 

Qualifications*:

Passion for johnnie-O: We all work very hard, we believe deeply in the future of this company, and we do whatever it takes to help grow and spread the word.

Success in a Retail Management Role: The size of your previous company and the product category you've worked in are not important to us. If you're a good manager with leadership skills, focus on customer service and a positive attitude, you can succeed here. Flexibility in availability including nights, weekend, and holidays is required. 

Cultural Fit: We’re a fun bunch of highly motivated, entrepreneurial, get it done types who work hard/play hard and have a passion for the johnnie-O lifestyle.  We're all focused on the same goal of making johnnie-O something special and if you are on board for that you'll fit in really well.

*Physical requirements – ability to stand for long periods of time, lift boxes, perform general maintenance and cleaning duties as needed.
