Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Johnnie-O Retail. As an Assistant Manager, you will be a key player in supporting the Store Leader in creating a positive and high-performing store environment. Your leadership, organizational, and communication skills will be essential in achieving operational excellence and delivering an outstanding customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Partnership:
- Collaborate with the Store Leader and team members to execute company directives and standards.
- Support in creating a store environment that aligns with Johnnie-O Retail's culture and values through effective communication and teamwork.
Customer Focus:
- Assist in maintaining a strong selling culture and positive store atmosphere, embodying our core value of Spreading Good Vibes.
- Process in-store sales, returns, and exchanges efficiently and professionally, ensuring exceptional customer service.
Operational Excellence:
- Support in managing cash procedures, in-store events, and community engagement activities.
- Assist in overseeing inventory management, including in-store fulfillment, transfers, adjustments, and cycle counts, ensuring accuracy and organization.
Visual Merchandising:
- Assist in maintaining visual standards and maximizing real estate to drive sales growth.
- Collaborate with the Visual Team to create engaging floor spaces and showcase merchandising updates.
Team Management:
- Support the Store Leader in upholding people-centric selling strategies and cultures through coaching and teamwork.
- Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and developing a diverse and motivated team, ensuring a positive working environment.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with the team, fostering trust and collaboration.
- Collaborate with the Store Leader and team members to achieve business goals and maintain a positive store atmosphere.
Sales and CRM:
- Assist in driving sales through effective scheduling, ensuring peak hours are covered while staying within allotted hours.
- Utilize CRM tools for guest capture, retention, and product feedback.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 or more years of managerial experience or 1 or more years of internal Johnnie-O experience.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Understanding of retail operations, inventory management, and customer service.
- Proficiency in utilizing CRM tools and other business software.
