Meet Mason Miller
Mason Miller is currently the closer—known as “The Reaper” thanks to his 104+ MPH fastball—for the San Diego Padres. Hailing from Pittsburgh, PA originally, he brings some of that Midwest grit to his performance on the mound while fully embracing the Southern California lifestyle off the field. In 2024, he was nominee for the Roberte Clemente Award in recognition for his work with diabetes charities—he was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at age 20. In 2026, he represented the USA in the World Baseball Classic and is looking forward to once again dominating the later innings for the Padres this season
