Our knit sport coats are what we like to call the natural evolution of menswear. Crafted with a knit fabric instead of a traditional weave, this style features our signature Johnnie-O fit—tailored but never tight. The fabric is incredibly soft, drapes just like a classic sport coat and is printed with a traditional windowpane pattern inspired by vintage styles we referenced. And because we believe in doing things the best way possible, we’ve added refined details like classic pickstitching on the lapel—because it’s all about the little things that make a big difference.

The Fabric
These sport coats are knit with a Panama weave—a kind of basketweave—this is not only breathable, it resists wrinkles and is unbelievably soft. And to ensure the look of classic tailored suiting, we use state-of-the-art printing to recreate timeless patterns.
Styling Note
While the idea of a knit sport coat may be new, the styling is just like your wovens. Paired with a chino or your favorite 5-pocket pants and a polo, button-up or t-shirt if you’re going true SoCal, there’s no more comfortable way to look this good.
